You have arrived at the RQ Network web site — the landing site for consultants and practitioners who are dedicated to integrating the Resilience Quotient, developed by Russell Consulting, Inc., into their practice.

Our goal is to provide RQ distributors and licensed users with an array of resources to help them guide their clients and customers toward a better understanding of resilience and then enable them to develop and strengthen their resilience.

We developed the RQ in 2003 as a tool to help our individual clients as part of our change workshops and executive coaching. We recognized that, without resilient people working in an organization, many change efforts will likely encounter stiff resistance and otherwise good and capable people will struggle with the change. The Resilience Quotient allowed us to assess the relative levels of resilience in individuals and then to use the RQ to guide their development. We also used the RQ to assess the overall resilience levels in the organization and then to use this information to guide broader efforts to strengthen resilience at all organizational levels.

In 2006 we began developing our international network of RQ distributors and users to expand the use of the RQ world wide. This RQ Network web site has been designed to provide helpful resources to the RQ Network, share normative data and emerging research on the RQ, and to encourage information sharing among RQ distributors and licensed users.

This site and the resources available for developing resilience are constantly evolving. We have larger plans for the RQ and the RQ Network and we welcome your ideas for enhancing both the RQ and this RQ Network web site.
